It’s easier to get others to do what you want if you first identify what drives their behavior – that is, what turns them on.  It might be status, challenge, solitude, recognition, or something else entirely.  Once you know what it is, you can try to give it to them in exchange for getting them to do what you desire.  The point is that everyone is unique and it’s smart to find out.
